Our commitment to children

The safety of children using RAQIM Family is our highest priority. This policy governs how RAQIM Family — our age-appropriate Islamic learning mode — is designed, operated, and protected.

RAQIM Family is parent-controlled

• RAQIM Family can only be activated and managed by a verified parent or guardian.
• Parents control which features children can access.
• All content accessible to children is pre-reviewed and curated.
• Children cannot independently change their access level or content settings.

No open-ended AI for children

• Children using RAQIM Family cannot engage in open-ended AI chat.
• All AI interactions in child mode are guided by curated question cards reviewed by human moderators.
• Children cannot access the Quran AI Knowledge Layer without parental supervision.
• AI responses visible to children are drawn exclusively from pre-approved, age-appropriate content.

Content standards

• All stories, duas, and educational content are reviewed for age-appropriateness.
• Content is grounded in mainstream Sunni Islamic values — no sectarian, political, or controversial material.
• Morals and character education content (akhlaq) is based on Quranic guidance and seerah.
• No advertising, in-app purchases, or commercial content is shown to children.

Data protection for children

• RAQIM does not collect personal data from children without verified parental consent.
• Children's usage data is anonymised and used solely to improve the child-safe experience.
• We comply with applicable children's privacy regulations, including COPPA (US) and GDPR-K (EU).
• Parents may request deletion of their child's data at any time.

Reporting concerns

If you encounter content in RAQIM Family that you believe is inappropriate or unsafe for children, please contact us immediately at hello@raqim.co. We take all reports seriously and will respond within 48 hours.

Ongoing review

RAQIM Family's child safety standards are reviewed continuously. We are committed to exceeding the minimum requirements set by app store guidelines and child safety regulations.
